Microsoft Kin

2010–2010

This extremely short-lived mobile phone was an attempt to make a cool phone for teenagers and other social media addicts. The slide-out keyboard and design were supposed to make it easier to use services like Facebook and Twitter. Microsoft Kin, however, was far from cool. It lacked both apps and games. Monthly fees were as high as those for the iPhone and Android, so nobody understood why the Kin would be a better choice. Less than 4 months after launch, the Kin was killed.
